The Flaring SPIN Tool is designed for the most common tubing diameters in HVAC. The high-temperature method preserves the copper’s/aluminum’s malleability while performing the flare, preventing cracks and leaks. The Flaring SPIN tools were developed and are recommended for soft copper.

The SPIN Flaring Tools make flares with the ideal dimensions for a perfect packing, due a wider area of contact between the flare surface and the valve/tube accessory.

To top that, you can make flares with the SPIN Flaring Tools in just 5 seconds!

To perform the flaring in copper/aluminum tubing, simply attach the corresponding SPIN Tool size to a drill*. Because they perform their job using high-temperature and friction, no clamping tools or holders are necessary.

Flares made with the SPIN Tools are compatible with high-pressure refrigerants such as R410a.

FASTEN IT!

FASTEN the Flaring SPIN Tool into the drill’s chuck. Ensure it’s on tight and FIRMLY hold the tube at all times. You can use your other hand if needed, but be sure to keep a safe distance from the tip of the tube.

LET'S GO IN...

Keep the drill at MAXIMUM SPEED, at all times. ALIGN the tube and drill. INSERT the Flaring SPIN. Maintain a CONSTANT PRESSURE through the process until the tool stopper has meet with the tube.

... AND OUT!

Keep the tube and drill ALIGNED. Keep the drill at MAXIMUM SPEED. PULL OUT the Flaring SPIN from the tube. REMEMBER: this flaring process is an “in-and-out” secuaL that last approximately 5 to 7 seconds.

THAT'S IT!

Immediately after, the tube’s temperature is very high. Don’t touch the flare until the tube has cooled off. FINAL RESULTS is a 35 degree, malleable, flare; capable of welding to any flared angle ranging 37 to 45 degrees.

DO THE COUPLING!

Assemble the nut to the valve using a wrench for the coupling. As you do this, the nut and the valve shape the flared tube to its final position. Counteracting any cracks or leaks.

*Minimum Requirements

The Flaring SPIN Tools are designed for copper tubing sizes of ¼ ”, ⅜” and ½” with wall thickness up to 0.8mm; & 1.0mm for a tubing diameter of ⅝”. Using the Flaring Spin Tools on ANY other diameter than the recommended might cause undesirable deformation and assembling issues. Check User’s Manual for more details.

All SPIN Tools are designed to work with drills and/or screwdrivers, with a minimum of 1,800 RPM and 500 watts, for corded drills, or superior and 1,800RPM and 18V, or superior, for cordless drills. Using the SPIN Tools with a less powerful equipment tool than suggested, may result decreased and low-quality performances.
